Meet Michael
Michael Meliniotis is The Melini Group’s Lead Instructor, delivering training courses across multiple competencies for clients across the globe. Before founding TMG, Michael led Learning & Development teams in the financial services industry. In this work, Michael and his teams diagnosed needs, developed training strategies, and sourced delivery solutions. Prior to this work, Michael was an Application Developer. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Sciences from the University of Delaware. In his professional career, he has lived in New York City, London, Tokyo, and currently Los Angeles.
Since 2012 with The Melini Group, Michael has been a training instructor, team offsite facilitator, executive coach, speaker coach, and script writer. He has written most of TMG’s training programs and courses. For eight years, he led multi-week, immersive summer analyst training programs for a financial services client. In addition, he coached over 100 TEDx speakers from idea to delivery. He has written over 50 conference speeches for senior executives and public speakers.
Michael adapts his teaching style to course objectives and learning needs. He uses methodologies, frameworks, and facilitation styles that appropriately align to content that is informational, conceptual, or behavioral. He specializes in case study facilitation, which includes TMG’s unique and engaging approach to leadership development. He has delivered these leadership case studies to clients across various industries, making sure to customize content and delivery to get the best possible results.
In his personal life, Michael is a committed Dad who coaches youth soccer and baseball. He also coaches adult (age-group) marathoners and triathletes.
For both individuals and teams, we grow when we learn. Learning equips us to contribute to our communities and it opens our minds to have remarkable experiences.

Navigating Difficult Conversations
This course explores the link between behaviors and traits, helping participants identify behavior patterns in difficult conversations. It covers giving and receiving feedback, applying strategies to prevent conflict, and using emotional intelligence for better relationships.

This intensive workshop teaches advanced storytelling principles to develop skills in dialogue to drive influence under pressure. Participants work through a 7-step development method, refining their style under pressure. Participants will master context, tension, suspense, and possibility while learning to connect with audiences across various platforms.

Personal Productivity and Efficient Meetings
This course has two symbiotic sessions focused on efficient work practices. Participants take inventory of their current actions lists and section their work into four categories. Participants work to systemically improve their productivity using the Eisenhower Matrix.
Participants audit and scorecard various meetings they take part in. Output is analyzed for sustained and measurable meeting improvement. Facilitation skills are practiced and applied in group exercises.
