Personal Productivity & Efficient Meetings

Course Type: Training Course

This course has two symbiotic sessions focused on efficient work practices. Participants take inventory of their current actions lists and section their work into four categories. Participants work to systemically improve their productivity using the Eisenhower Matrix. Participants audit and scorecard various meetings they take part in. Output is analyzed for sustained and measurable meeting improvement. Facilitation skills are practiced and applied in group exercises.

Objectives

  • To gain insight into productivity frameworks that accelerate the personal productivity of individual contributors

  • To incorporate best practices for meeting management

  • To apply systemic solutions that rectify gaps in productivity and address inefficiencies in meetings

Content

  • The Eisenhower Matrix and personal productivity

  • Measuring progress and identifying opportunities and pitfalls in personal workloads, i.e. ‘too busy’

  • Understanding meeting types and objectives, i.e. 1-to-1’s, team, committee, consensus, problem-solving

  • Setting meeting agendas and executing timing

  • How to improve meeting engagement and quality through facilitation techniques
