Course Type: Case Study

This case study is based on the popular tennis match of Billie Jean King and Bobby Riggs. This match was the culmination of a change effort by ‘The Original 9’, meant to address compensation inequity between men and women. This effort led to the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), which is still in place today.

Objectives

  • To raise awareness of how Equity affects an organization

  • To develop opinions on the impact of Equity or lack of Equity as it pertains to compensation, access, and culture
